Hesitant to enter the conflict between the Terran Commonwealth, Callistonian Empire and Allied Worlds, the leaders of the Babylonian Union have cleared the way for idealists to fly as "Babylonian Volunteer Squadrons." While most support the Callistonian Empire, fearful that the Union may be the next target of the Terrans, a few of these free squadrons have been lured to serve as neutral protectors of important assets by the Free Trade Directorate, or even sometimes fighting for the Terran Commonwealth.
